Diplomat and Executive Hosting

~ a wonderful solution to the dilemmas faced by Government organisations and multi-national corporations of hosting visiting international business executives ~

'To be able to fill leisure intelligently is the last product of civilisation.' Bertrand Russell 1872 - 1970. The Conquest of Happiness.
Australia's remote location means that nearly all overseas visitors tend to stay in the country for at least a few days, even when the business component of their trip may be completed quite quickly. Host businesses often find it hard to know what to do with their visitors – hotels can be lonely places, and simply offering a list of tourist attractions can leave the visiting executives feeling at best unimportant. Australia is home to the most unusual and exquisite wildlife, yet the only koalas and kangaroos seen by many short-stay visitors from overseas are either in captivity or in the airport toy shop.

Increasingly, we are finding that international business executives or diplomats find themselves in Melbourne with a few days to spare and, especially if they are travelling alone, they find the experience can be quite lonely. Executives from the host companies are often too busy to spend time showing their visitors around, or at a loss as to what to do with them to provide an interesting 'Australian' experience. Large hotels are impersonal and often lonely places. Our guests enjoy the warmth of our welcome, and the personal touches which go such a long way to making them feel comfortable and relaxed while staying in Australia.

We particularly enjoy hosting our International Executive and Diplomatic guests as they are frequently well travelled and enjoy sharing their experiences. Many guests enjoy their stay so much that they return with their families for a proper holiday. Often our guests have never experienced a walk in the Australian bush; we really enjoy their enthusiasm and excitement at seeing koalas, wallabies and kangaroos as they accompany us on our guided walks.

Our international guests all leave us with an enhanced understanding of Australian native flora and fauna, an excitement at having seen native animals in the wild, a sense of achievement at having walked in the bush, paddled in the sea at Blanket Bay, experienced the thrill of the Great Ocean Road, looked out across the Southern Ocean from the top of the Lighthouse – it's amazing what can be experienced in a few days!

We understand that some guests require absolute privacy, security and discretion. For these guests we offer an Exclusive Booking arrangement, where they can enjoy the Ecolodge and all the facilities – just to themselves.

Invigorated and refreshed, our International Executives and Diplomats leave with extremely positive feelings about the Great Ocean Ecolodge, the Cape Otway Centre and Australia generally.

We promise to take great care of your special visitors.
